PFL MMA Odds
The PFL, also known as the Professional Fighters League, is an MMA competitor to the UFC. It's been the product of multiple acquisitions since 2012. Although the PFL's standard rules remain the same as those of the UFC and other fighting organizations, some differences help it stand out from the crowd.
PFL vs UFC: Differences
The most apparent difference between the two organizations is the fighting arena. Fights in the UFC take place in an octagon-shaped cage known as The Octagon. In the PFL, it's a 10-sided cage called the SmartCage. On a surface level, there is no significant difference, but for fighters, there can be strategic changes in how they approach a fight due to the differing floorplan.
A difference that does have an impact is in the rules. Although the PFL uses standard MMA rules, there's one specific change that impacts how fighters approach their battles. There's a ban on elbow strikes in the PFL, meaning any fighter who uses them as a significant part of their arsenal must change how they fight. There's also a “Super Fight” division, offering fighters from different weight classes the chance to compete. So, big-name warriors can fight to see who is the best, even if they're outside of traditional weight classes.
The final substantial change is the PFL calendar. Instead of setting up fights across the year at random intervals, there's a regular season and post-season, similar to traditional sports leagues. This adds extra intrigue to the PFL and provides a unique selling point.

How Do Odds Work in PFL?
Odds work in the PFL the same as other MMA events. Anything you're used to seeing in the UFC is available with PFL odds. Fight winners, round winners, method of victory, and strike stats are all options for PFL fight odds.
The PFL sets itself apart from other MMA organizations with its season format. Since there's a post-season and championship, it offers outrights for the end of each season. It adds an extra element to the odds, as most other combat sports don't work this way.
The sheer range of picks makes PFL MMA odds some of the most appealing on the market.
How to Read PFL Odds?
Reading PFL odds requires an understanding of what's available. Firstly, you must check on the available picks. The odds will be more significant the more specific the pick you want to make. So, picking the winner of the fight will have lower odds than choosing the winner, round, and method of victory.
Secondly, knowing how you can make your picks is critical. PFL live odds will work differently from pre-game options, so if you want to make picks during a fight, you'll have to check the odds constantly as they change with each strike.
PFL MMA Odds Types
Our individual fight and PFL Championship odds can appear in Fractional, decimal, or American formats.
Fractional
As the name suggests, fractional odds appear as a fraction, the denominator relates to the units of the prediction, and the numerator refers to the final reward. To calculate what you get back when predicting with fractional odds, divide your units by the denominator and multiply by the numerator.
So, a 100-unit pick at odds of 6/1 offers a 600-unit profit for a total reward of 700 units.
Decimal
Decimal odds are expressed as a decimal number, making calculations simple. You only need to multiply the units by the odds to achieve the total reward. With odds of 2.37 on a 10-unit pick, you'd get 23.7 units back, with 13.7 units as a reward.
American
American odds, which appear as a whole number with a plus or minus sign, are the most common odds you'll find here at Sportzino. Minus numbers are for the favorites, and positive numbers are for the underdogs.
Favorite
The favorite appears as a negative number and shows how many units players need for a 100-unit reward. Odds of -180 mean 180 units reward 280 units.
Underdog
An underdog appears as a positive number, such as +225. In this case, players must pick using 100 units, and the odds show the reward. As a result, it rewards 335 units with 225 units as profit.
