The Carolina Hurricanes have been able to take advantage of a banged-up Devils team through the first two games of the series, and time is running out for New Jersey to make a comeback. The Hurricanes are -180 favorites for this pivotal game 3 as they look to take a 3-0 series lead before game 4 on Sunday.

The New Jersey Devils are not the same team without Jack Hughes on their roster. The Los Angeles Kings are halfway to getting their revenge after being bounced in the first round by the Edmonton Oilers in three consecutive seasons. Los Angeles used their dominant home record to take an early lead in this series, but they will be hoping to split the games in Edmonton to avoid an Oilers comeback. 

The Kings have done a good job at containing the Oilers’ superstars, other than a third period collapse in game one that ended up not being enough for Edmonton. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl have scored just one goal combined, other than that late consolation outburst, and that has been the key to the Kings’ success. As Los Angeles hits the road, their primary focus will be keeping this game close for as long as possible. The total has ticked up to 6.5 goals for this encounter, and the under is the best play you can make rather than picking a side tonight in Edmonton.
