NCAAF Picks
There are a variety of props and odds to choose from when making your NCAAF picks, and you must fully understand each set of lines to make the most accurate NCAA football picks. Examining the options for college football odds and picks increases the likelihood of a correct pick. Sometimes the spread may be a better selection over the moneyline, and it is very common to see NCAA football picks against the spread in the 2025-2026 season. Here are the most common props and odds for the NCAAF regular season explained.
NCAAF Picks Explained
Against the Spread
A common set of odds for your free NCAAF picks is NCAA football picks against the spread. There are often extreme mismatches in the NCAAF regular season, with moneyline odds as high as -10000. In order to reduce the odds, you can use the spread instead.
| Georgia Bulldogs | Clemson Tigers | |
| Moneyline | -750 | +400 |
| Spread | (-14.5) -109 | (+14.5) -128 |
The 14.5 point spread in favor of the Georgia Bulldogs allows NCAA football fans to avoid the mammoth -750 odds on their moneyline. For the Georgia Bulldogs to be declared the winner against the spread, they will need to beat the Clemson Tigers by 15 or more points. If the Georgia Bulldogs win by 14 or fewer points, or the Clemson Tigers win by any number, the Clemson Tigers would have covered the spread. It can be a good way to avoid making NCAAF predictions on the favorites with massive moneylines, and can increase the chances of a correct prediction on the underdog if they are able to keep the final score close.
Over/Under Picks (Totals)
Another popular way to make NCAA football picks is on the Over/Under. The Over/Under is the total points scored in the game, regardless of which team does most of the scoring. College football odds and predictions usually have the line in the 50-60 point range, but the Over/Under will vary from matchup to matchup.
| Over 49.5 Points | Under 49.5 Points | |
| Georgia Bulldogs vs Clemson Tigers | -116 | -120 |
It doesn’t matter if the Georgia Bulldogs win 50-0, or it is a close 28-24 victory, as long as there are more than 49.5 total points scored for both teams, the Over will be declared correct.
Moneyline
The moneyline is a prediction of who will win the game, ignoring the margin of victory. NCAAF moneylines can often be very wide, as the gap in talent between the young squads makes one team a clear favorite to emerge victorious. The moneyline can sometimes be a good prediction to make if the game is expected to be close, but in the big mismatches, the spread is the better option.
Player Props
If you want to predict a specific player, player props are the way to go. A player prop ignores everyone else on the field, and the prediction is only about one specific player. You can make predictions on quarterbacks, whether it be their touchdown passes or interceptions, and you can also make player prop predictions on receivers and running backs, regarding their total yards or total catches in a game.
