Texas Tech and Utah are both on the fringe of making the college football playoff, and this is a game both teams will look back on at the season’s end. It may only be week 4 of the college football season, but this matchup will go a long way in determining their respective postseason futures.
Texas Tech has cruised to three big wins so far this season, with the last two coming by way of 62-14 and 67-7 wins. Utah represents a massive step up in competition, but Texas Tech will be confident that it can defy the college football odds with a crucial road victory. Indiana has been playing dominant football this season and has shown no signs of slowing down now. Rice takes on Charlotte as the lone Thursday night matchup, and the ranked teams don’t play in week 4 until Saturday, September 20th, 2025. Nineteen of the 25 ranked teams play on Saturday this week, with the games kicking off from Noon EST until 11 PM EST for an action-packed day of college football action.
What is the Best Game this Week?
There are three ranked vs. ranked matchups this week, but the best game is 9th-ranked Illinois and 19th-ranked Indiana. These two schools are both confident in their ability to make the college football playoff, but an early-season loss will put them on the outside looking in on the playoff spots.
