College Football Week 5 Odds Analysis

(#6) Oregon at (#3) Penn State

  • Spread: Oregon +3.5, Penn State -3.5
  • Moneyline: Oregon +130, Penn State -190
  • Over/Under: 52.5 Points
  • Time: Saturday, September 27th, 7:30 PM EST

Oregon faces its first real test of the season when it plays Penn State on the road in the featured game of week 5. Penn State is one of the best teams in the nation, but Oregon should not be a big underdog on the college football week 5 odds.

Oregon has made quick work of its recent opposition, with Dante Moore looking better and better every time he takes the field. Moore transferred from UCLA and has slotted into the Oregon offense seamlessly. Dillon Gabriel was a tough man to replace, but Moore has given new life to the Ducks’ offense.

Penn State is tough on defense, but Oregon knows how to win close football games, and we will take them on the moneyline for the top college football week 5 prediction.

Pick: Oregon Moneyline +130

(#17) Alabama at (#5) Georgia

  • Spread: Alabama +3.5, Georgia -3.5
  • Moneyline: Alabama +120, Georgia -175
  • Over/Under: 53.5 Points
  • Time: Saturday, September 27th, 7:30 PM EST

These SEC rivals have a bitter rivalry that has shown no signs of slowing down now. Alabama was able to shake off its week 1 loss to Florida State and faces their next big test this week when they head to Georgia.

Alabama has struggled to maintain its dominant streak from when Nick Saban was the head coach, but it has an opportunity to defy the college football odds with a big showing in week 5. However, their defense has looked vulnerable against poor offenses, which leads us to take Georgia to win and cover for our college football week 5 predictions.

The Georgia Bulldogs have an experienced quarterback in Gunner Stockton after they took their time developing the young stud. Stockton led the Bulldogs to an overtime victory against Tennessee two weeks ago and will be confident against the Crimson Tide.

Many teams have promising quarterbacks on their roster, but what sets Georgia apart is their offensive depth. Nine players caught a pass in their victory over the Volunteers, with eight players recording a rushing attempt, too.

They have no shortage of weapons to beat down on Alabama and will comfortably win and cover in week 5.

Pick: Georgia -3.5 (-105)
