BIRMINGHAM STALLIONS VS MICHIGAN PANTHERS
Birmingham Stallions: -286
The Birmingham Stallions are the clear favorites to win the USFL and advance to the UFL championship game. The Stallions had the league’s best offense in the regular season, scoring 265 points in ten games. They had their perfect season spoiled on the second last day of the season, but a 9-1 record was still by far the best in the league. Quarterback Adrian Martinez was critical to the Stallions’ success, and he will undoubtedly be looking to propel his team to the UFL American football championship. Martinez has been poised in the pocket, throwing for 15 touchdowns while only throwing three interceptions. The threat of the run keeps defenses honest, allowing Martinez to exploit one-on-one coverage down the field. If there is nothing there, he doesn’t force the ball and will happily tuck it and run to pick up valuable extra yards.
The biggest weakness for the Stallions is their defense. As was seen in their lone loss, the San Antonio Brahmas were able to pick them apart down the field and prevent Martinez from replying. However, the Stallions still have a very good defensive unit, and it’s hard to pick out any weaknesses from this team. They are well-balanced, have a strong quarterback, and are the clear favorites to not only win the USFL championship but also the inaugural UFL football league championship.
Michigan Panthers: +195
The Michigan Panthers narrowly lost to the Birmingham Stallions on the final day of the season, losing 20-19. They threw away a double-digit halftime lead as their offense shriveled up in the second half. Danny Etling is the leading man for this UFL United Football League team, but he could not deliver when the Panthers needed it most. The Panthers are reliable on both sides of the football, but they still have room for improvement. They went a perfect 6-0 against teams outside of the playoffs but just 1-3 against teams in the playoffs. Their lone win against a competent team came back in Week 1, as they haven’t been able to rise to the occasion when it matters most.
Michigan has a complete team, but it lacks the game-changers needed to upset a team like the Stallions. Even when they were playing their best, they still managed to throw away the lead against the Stallions. Unless they are able to replicate their early game success, their semi-final matchup will be the final game for the season.
SAN ANTONIO BRAHMAS VS ST. LOUIS BATTLEHAWKS
St. Louis Battlehawks: -179
The St.Louis Battlehawks are the favorites to win the XFL championship, as their electric offense has been good enough to overcome their defensive shortcomings. AJ McCarron has been a reliable quarterback and is one of the few signal-callers with in-game NFL experience. He is a vintage quarterback who doesn’t like to run the ball, but it hasn’t stopped him from being very effective in the UFL. His 15 touchdowns to 4 interceptions is a fantastic ratio, and the Battlehawks offense is one of the best in the league.
However, on the defensive side of the ball, the Battlehawks will be outmatched. Their 202 points allowed is the most between the four playoff teams, as they have been unable to consistently stop the run. Run defense is the most essential part of any UFL football league defense, and the Battlehawks cannot expect to win if they cannot stop the run.
San Antonio Brahmas: +127
The San Antonio Brahmas have the best defense in the league, and if they can get crucial stops, there is no reason they won’t be able to prevail. They’ve allowed the fewest points and yards in the entire league and will look to clamp down on the Battlehawks in the semi-finals. Their offense leaves plenty to be desired, but considering they won 5 games while scoring 20 or fewer points, they don’t need to be exceptional in the offense if their stellar defense does their job. The phrase ‘offense wins games, defense wins championships’ is one the Brahmas will embody in this game, as they are fully confident their defense is good enough to book their flight to the Unified Football League championship.

UFL Picks for Conference Championship
Birmingham Stallions vs Michigan Panthers
The Stallions are the stronger team, and they will beat the Michigan Panthers in the Conference Championship. They dug themselves a 16-6 hole at halftime the last time these two teams met and still managed to claw back to win. Undoubtedly, head coach Skip Holtz will look to avoid that slow start in this game, and their superior quality on both sides of the ball will be enough to achieve victory. The Stallions will get off to a better start and cruise to a big win to punch their ticket to the championship game.
Pick: Birmingham Stallions -286
San Antonio Brahmas vs St. Louis Battlehawks
The San Antonio Brahmas will overcome the odds and defeat the St. Louis Battlehawks. The Brahmas defense is untouchable, and it’s difficult to imagine a one-dimensional offense like the Battlehawks picking them apart down the field. The Brahmas have leaned on their defense all season long, and when it matters most in the playoffs, they will step up once again. The Battlehawks aren’t strong defensively, and this will allow the Brahmas to move the ball, get their fair share of possession, and ultimately win the game.
Pick: San Antonio Brahmas +127
