Best NFL Week 10 Matchups

Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints

Sunday, November 10th, 1:00 PM EST

  • Moneyline: Falcons -180, Saints +140
  • Spread: Atlanta Falcons (-3.5)
  • Total: 46.5 Points

This is one of the most confusing spreads in NFL game odds for week 10. The Falcons are clearly the better team compared to the Saints, yet this is pegged as one of the closest NFL week 10 matchups. The Saints have lost seven straight games heading into this one, while the Falcons have a legitimate chance at making a deep run in the NFC playoffs.

The year started brightly for the Saints, winning back-to-back games to kick off the 2024 season. A 47-10 victory over the Panthers was expected, but they then followed it up with a 44-19 drubbing of the Cowboys in Dallas. However, since then, the Saints have lost 7 straight games, with four of the last five coming by double-digit margins of defeat. Their inability to get stops on defense has been detrimental, and they will now get even worse defensively after trading corner Marshon Lattimore at the trade deadline. On offense, Derek Carr recently returned to injury just in time to lose to the previously 1-7 Panthers.

Across the field, the Falcons are perched on top of the NFC South with a perfect 4-0 record against their division rivals. The Saints were able to play the Falcons tight in their previous meeting this season, but Atlanta will not only win this NFL week 10 matchup, but they will also cover the spread. Quarterback Kirk Cousins has had one of the most consistent seasons of his career, throwing for 17 touchdowns, including 7 in his last two games. His ability to trust his offensive line has allowed his receivers to develop their routes down the field. The Saints just lost their defensive cornerstone this week and will not be able to come up with a game plan to slow down Cousins and the Falcons. Not only will the Falcons win and cover, but they will do so by 10+ points on Sunday afternoon.

Pick: Atlanta Falcons (-3.5) -105

New York Jets at Arizona Cardinals

Sunday, November 10th, 4:25 PM EST

  • Moneyline: Jets -105, Cardinals -120
  • Spread: Arizona Cardinals (-1)
  • Total: 46 Points

The New York Jets kept their season alive against the Houston Texans in week 9, and they have another difficult opponent on tap when they head to Arizona to take on the Cardinals.

Arizona has been able to rattle off three consecutive wins and is suddenly sitting at the top of the NFC West divisional standings. The NFL game odds week 10 have the Cardinals as slight home favorites to extend their recent win streak. Quarterback Kyler Murray has been able to show a new level of confidence in the pocket that has been missing from his game over the course of his career. Murray has always been able to use his legs to bail himself out, but he is now looking to become a pass-first quarterback. Murray’s ability to spread the field has been promising, but a desperate Jets defense will get him out of his rhythm.

The reason this spread is not larger is due to the Jets’ defense rather than a sputtering offense. New York will look to pile on the pressure against Murray early and often, and they will find success in doing so. Defensive end Will McDonald IV already has 8 sacks this season, and he will be able to get his hands on Murray this weekend. New York is playing with their backs against the wall while the Cardinals are sitting on top of their division. Arizona has a very real chance of bringing complacency into this contest which will allow the Jets to squeak out a victory. The +1 spread on the NFL odds week 10 is worth a look, but the better prediction to make is for the Jets to win outright on the -105 moneyline.

Pick: New York Jets Moneyline -105

FAQ

  1. Do you have a favorite type of casino game or sports event you enjoy writing about?

My all-time favorite sports event is the UFC. There is something special about two people walking in and only one walking out. Fighting is the oldest sport in human history, and you never know what will happen when the cage door closes.

  2. What advice would you give to someone new to sports predicting?

Monitor your performance and accept poor days. If you are carelessly making predictions, there's no learning derived from the results. Staying ahead is challenging, and it’s impossible to succeed every single day.

  3. How do you stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in sports?

It's not hard to stay up-to-date with trends when your life is sports! All day and all night sports are on my mind, but if I do miss something, X is always the most up-to-date source online.
