Best NFL Week 6 Matchups
Arizona Cardinals at Green Bay Packers
Sunday, October 13th, 1:00 PM EST
- Moneyline: Cardinals +190, Packers -250
- Spread: Green Bay Packers (-5.5)
- Total: 49.5 Points
The Green Bay Packers are sizable favorites against the Arizona Cardinals, but they may face challenges covering this spread. Green Bay relies on a very strong run game to pick up victories, with Josh Jacobs leading the way on the ground. Jacobs can grind out crucial 4-5 yard runs for the Packers, chewing up plenty of clock in the process. Backup running back Emanuel Wilson has given Green Bay a nice tandem in the backfield, and there is little doubt the Packers will pick up the win. However, the -5.5 point spread is another story.
The Cardinals have faced off against the league’s best teams so far this season and still have a respectable 2-3 record to show for it. Quarterback Kyler Murray has been effective both in and out of the pocket. The Packers ability to run the football will be countered by Murray’s quarterback play. Unless the Packers build up a two touchdown lead in the second half, the Cardinals will storm back for the backdoor cover. They’ve outscored their opposition in the fourth quarter in four of their five games this season, and while they will fall short on the moneyline, they will cover the spread at Lambeau Field.
Pick: Green Bay Packers Moneyline -250
Pick: Arizona Cardinals (+5.5) -110
Washington Commanders at Baltimore Ravens
Sunday, October 13th, 1:00 PM EST
- Moneyline: Commanders +215, Ravens -290
- Spread: Baltimore Ravens (-6.5)
- Total: 52.5 Points
These are two of the hottest teams in football, and the NFL fans are in for an absolute treat with this NFL week 6 matchup. The Commanders and Ravens got off to 0-1 and 0-2 starts, respectively, but they haven’t lost since and are now sitting at 4-1 and 3-2.
The Washington Commanders have experienced a remarkable turnaround. Although its only been five weeks into the season, the Commanders new rookie quarterback, Jayden Daniels, is already setting records. Daniels had an 82.1% completion percentage through his first four games, which is a rookie record. His ability to scramble out of the pocket and accurate deep throws have made him the toughest man to slow down in the league. The Washington defense got off to a shaky start, but they have turned things around after some inspiring play from linebacker duo Frankie Luvu and Bobby Wagner. Washington hasn’t had a winning season since 2015, they haven’t started 4-1 since 2008, and they most recently won back-to-back games by 20+ points for the first time since 1997. They’ve won four straight games, and the Commanders franchise seems to be finally coming out of their decade-long rebuild.
Baltimore has a dual-threat quarterback of their own, as Lamar Jackson looks to finally secure the Super Bowl that has evaded him for so long. Jackson and Running back Derrick Henry have created a daunting backfield partnership, and the Ravens offense is rolling heading into their NFL week 6 matchup. However, their once dominant defense has been showing cracks, and they will need to be careful against Daniels and the Commanders.
It’s truly shocking to see the Baltimore Ravens favored by nearly a touchdown. Washington has won four straight games and have scored the most points in the NFL. Daniels has shown he will not be slowed down and was even able to shake off a rusty start against the Browns last week. There is no doubt he will be able to keep the Commanders within a touchdown against the Ravens, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Washington pull off the outright upset.
Pick: Washington Commanders (+6.5) -110
