Daniels scurried into the endzone 21 times in 26 games during his final two seasons with LSU, and Washington will be hopeful he can find the endzone on the ground against the Buccaneers. NFL Moneyline Picks and Predictions

Matchup: San Francisco 49ers at New York Jets. Monday, September 9th, 8:20 PM EST

To wrap up week one, the 49ers and Jets will square off in an intense Monday Night Football encounter. Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is returning to the field after getting injured on the opening drive of last season. The Jets will be hoping he can stay healthy, and lead a talented offense to victory, but we just don’t see that happening on Monday night. 

San Francisco was one of the most dominant teams last season, and have managed to keep a bulk of their star players on their roster. On defense, they have Nick Bosa breathing down the neck of a nervous Aaron Rodgers, and Fred Warner patrolling the middle of the field. On offense, Christian McCaffrey is the best running back in the league, while receivers Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel form a lethal wideout duo. Tight end George Kittle is a crucial part of this team in both the blocking and passing game, and quarterback Brock Purdy has shown phenomenal game management with his talented supporting cast. 

The 49ers may be on the road, but they are a better team in almost every position compared to the Jets. Aaron Rodgers will show flashes of brilliance, but after being on the sidelines for an entire season, the 40-year-old quarterback will show some rust, and cost his team the game.

NFL Against the Spread Picks and Predictions

Matchup: Arizona Cardinals at Buffalo Bills. Sunday, September 8th, 1 PM EST

The Bills are coming into the season as -6-point favorites against the Cardinals, but this spread is far too short. Buffalo deserves to be at least a touchdown favorite on the NFL week 1 odds, and for them to cover the spread is one of the best 2024 NFL week 1 predictions you can make. Arizona struggled last season, posting a lowly 4-13 record. It is unrealistic to expect them to keep it close against a well-rounded Bills team after traveling across the country.

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs has moved on from Buffalo, but that may be a blessing in disguise for the Bills. Buffalo has all the depth needed at wide receiver to fill that hole, and Allen will have a more open playbook without having to feed his WR1. The Cardinals will probably be better than they were last season, but it will still not be a close game in Buffalo.
