The 2024 Champions League knockout round is underway, with Manchester City, the clear UEFA Champions League favorites, looking to win back-to-back trophies. While Manchester City will be confident, there are still 4 other teams coming in with +900 or shorter odds that will feel they have what it takes to dethrone the European giants. The fellow favorites will be equally assured they have what it takes to make a deep Champions League run, and will not quiver in fear against the defending champions.
There are still 12 teams fighting for the chance to compete in the upcoming Champions League Final, and it would be unwise to count out anyone still alive in a tournament known for its Cinderella runs. Without further ado, here are the Champions League Predictions for the second half of the competition.
Who is Most Likely to Win the 2024 Champions League?
Manchester City +165
Manchester City are the clear favorite to win the Champions League, as their potent attack, experienced coaching, and solid backline ensure they truly have very few weaknesses against their fellow heavyweights. Erling Haaland continues to consistently put away the chances, and the emergence of Phil Foden in the midfield with Kevin De Bruyne ensures the Norwegian superstar receives ample service. They’ve scored exactly 3 goals in all 8 Champions League matches this season, and will always put themselves in a great position to win if they continue to do so.
Real Madrid +460
Real Madrid has won 14 Champion Leagues in their history, double the next closest team. They will always be among the favorites, and with their combination of youngsters and veterans, they have what it takes to add to their growing lead. Jude Bellingham leads La Liga in goals; despite playing midfield and missing 5 games with injury. His partnership with Vinicius Jr. in and around the penalty area has seen Real Madrid average more than 2 goals per game all season long, and there will be no doubts in the dressing room that Madrid has what it takes to handle Manchester City, and whoever else stands in their way.
Bayern Munich +620
Bayern Munich survived a round of 16 first-leg defeat against Lazio before booking their spot in the Quarterfinals of the Champions League. They haven’t looked as dominant as we’ve gotten accustomed to in recent years and are a whopping 10 points back in the Bundesliga. All their attention will be on the Champions League, and Harry Kane will be desperate to win his first major trophy. Bayern may not be as ruthless as previous editions of the squad, but it would be foolish to count out the German powerhouse.
