The Ducks have spent 2024 making the Big Ten, and the nation, their playground. Whether it was giving the Big House the full Gladiator treatment or relentlessly rolling through inferior opponents, Oregon is an untroubled No. 1 team in the country.
Though the Badgers have been beaten up this year, Oregon will see a tough test at Camp Randall Stadium. The Badgers’ stadium is always rocking, and with the No. 1 team in the country coming in, Wisconsin will be up for it.
The Badgers will be fresh, too. After a bye in Week 11, they were allowed to rest while Oregon had a date with Maryland. Ahead of the home stretch, expect true freshman Mabrey Mettauer to be given a handful of series here and there — but it’s unlikely to start against the best team in the country.
Without a spark plug like Mettauer to give them a little jump, it’s tough to see how the Badgers could keep this all that close. Expect Oregon to move to 11-0 and leave Madison as victors.
