College Football Week 14 Odds Analysis
(#14) Vanderbilt at (#19) Tennessee
- Spread: Vanderbilt +3.5, Tennessee -3.5
- Moneyline: Vanderbilt +110, Tennessee -160
- Over/Under: 65.5 Points
- Time: Saturday, November 29th, 3:30 PM EST
This is an incredible matchup between two rivals, with a potential place in the college football playoffs on the line. Both teams would likely need a few of the higher-ranked teams to lose to squeak into the playoffs, but needless to say, it is all to play for on Saturday afternoon.
Vanderbilt comes in as a slight underdog, and rightfully so. They have lost to both Alabama and Texas this year, and have yet to beat a ranked opponent. Tennessee has won six straight meetings between these two teams, and Vanderbilt has their work cut out for them if they hope to break that streak.
Joey Aguilar has been rock solid for the Volunteers, and it would be surprising to see very many punts in this matchup. The point total is at a sky-high 65.5 on the college football odds, which means there will be plenty of scoring from both sides.
While Vanderbilt will be able to hang around for a while, Tennessee will eventually get the stops they need to pull away on the scoreboard. This is a short spread considering Tennessee’s explosive offense, and we will lay the points in a Saturday afternoon thriller, making this a standout NCAAF prediction for Week 14.
Pick: Tennessee Volunteers (-3.5) +105
(#10) Alabama at Auburn
- Spread: Alabama -6.5, Auburn +6.5
- Moneyline: Alabama -250, Auburn +165
- Over/Under: 46.5 Points
- Time: Saturday, November 29th, 7:30 PM EST
A defeat here would send Alabama out of the college football playoffs, and it is hard to imagine the Herculean school missing out. Auburn has had a good, not great, season this year, but they will meet their match in rivalry week.
Their offense has come out flat on multiple occasions, being held to 17 or fewer points in five of 13 games this season. Alabama has an above-average defense, and they will almost certainly keep the Tigers around that range Saturday night.
On the other side of the ball, they shook off their early-season loss to Florida State with nine wins in their last ten games. That includes offensive victories over Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Georgia. These two teams are too far apart in terms of overall quality, and there is too much on the line for Alabama for anything other than a solid Crimson Tide win.
For your college football predictions, rather than taking the point spread, we will play it safe with the moneyline, which gives us parlay potential at your sportsbook.
Pick: Alabama -6.5 (-110)
