NFL Week 7 Predictions and Picks
Game 1: Rams at Jaguars
- Spread: Rams -2.5 (-140)
- Moneyline: Rams -165/Jaguars +120
- Over/Under: 45.5 (-115)
- Time: Sunday, October 19, at 9:30 a.m. ET
The Jacksonville Jaguars’ hot start hit a bump on Sunday, as they were held off by the Seattle Seahawks in a timid performance. Now, the Jags need to rebound in their second home in London.
Unfortunately for Jacksonville, it’ll need to do so against one of the league’s best in the L.A. Rams. While Matthew Stafford and company face a scare, with Puka Nacua’s knee injury clouding over the team, there’s still a gulf between good and great—the Jags may be good, but this Rams team appears to be great.
Pick: Rams moneyline (-165)
Game 2: Saints at Bears
- Spread: Bears -5.5 (-120)
- Moneyline: Saints +180/Bears -260
- Over/Under: 45.5 (-120)
- Time: Sunday, October 19, at 1:00 p.m. ET
While the Bears’ home-field advantage at Soldier Field is no doubt aiding this line, it’s still giving Caleb Williams and company too much credit. Chicago isn’t an outstanding team, and it can easily find itself playing down to its opponents.
On the flip side, Spencer Rattler has helped the Saints remain feisty week in and week out. With the points they’re getting here, I expect New Orleans to cover.
Pick: Saints +5.5 (-120)
Game 3: Dolphins at Browns
- Spread: Browns -2.5 (-130)
- Moneyline: Dolphins +110/Browns -155
- Over/Under: 40.5 (-120)
- Time: Sunday, October 19, at 1:00 p.m. ET
Dillon Gabriel threw over 50 passes for the Browns last week, and they still couldn’t muster any offense whatsoever. On the other side, the Dolphins are deep in crisis mode with no end in sight as long as Mike McDaniel remains at the helm. While Cleveland basically has no route to manufacturing offense, the Dolphins’ lone hopes of doing so rest in the hands of Jaylen Waddle and Devon Achane.
But those paths will prove crowded on Sunday. Cleveland’s defense is legitimately strong, and in the elements on Lake Erie, it becomes an even tougher unit. Even at their best, the Dolphins’ offense has folded in the elements under McDaniel. Now, far from their best, they’ll be soundly held in check by the Browns’ defense.
Pick: Under 40.5 (-120)

NFL Player Prop Predictions: Raiders at Chiefs
- Spread: Chiefs -12.5 (-120)
- Moneyline: Raiders +450/Chiefs -900
- Over/Under: 45.5 (-120)
- Time: Sunday, October 19, at 1:00 p.m. ET
It has now been two weeks since the Raiders did the right thing and rested their hobbled superstar, Brock Bowers. After backup Michael Mayer missed Week 5, he was able to play in Bowers’ place last Sunday and delivered with a five catch, 50-yard day.
Mayer is a talent in his own right and, with Bowers unlikely to play at Arrowhead, I expect the former Fighting Irish star to produce again.
Pick: Michael Mayer Over 45.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
NFL Score Predictions: Eagles at Vikings
- Spread: Eagles -2.5 (-135)
- Moneyline: Eagles -160/Vikings +115
- Over/Under: 42.5 (-120)
- Time: Sunday, October 19, at 1:00 p.m. ET
The Philadelphia Eagles’ offense is a mess; there’s no other way to frame it. Jalen Hurts is playing some of the worst football of his career, Saquon Barkley has been woefully inefficient, and receivers Devonta Smith and AJ Brown are being underutilized to a criminal extent.
In the humble opinion of this sportsbook writer, there’s no quick fix for this broken Eagles offense, and now, they need to head to Minnesota to face one of the league’s best defensive coordinators in Brian Flores. Things are bad in Philly, but they’re about to get even worse with the Vikings muting an already quiet Eagles attack.
Pick: Eagles Under 2.5 Total Touchdowns (-120)
NFL Moneyline Predictions: Panthers at Jets
- Spread: Jets -0.5 (-125)
- Moneyline: Panthers -115/Jets -120
- Over/Under: 43.5 (-120)
- Time: Sunday, October 19, at 1:00 p.m. ET
It is a stunner to see the Jets favored by any extent against the Panthers. After a hideous showing in London in Week 6, Gang Green remains the NFL’s last winless team. Worse, they’re led by the league’s worst starting quarterback in Justin Fields—yet head coach Aaron Glenn won’t even entertain a switch under center.
Carolina is leagues above the terrible play the Jets have shown all season long. I’d be comfortable taking the Panthers if they were giving as much as a field goal; at this moneyline, it’s a no-doubt pick for Bryce Young and crew.
Pick: Panthers moneyline (-115)
NFL Against the Spread Predictions: Colts at Chargers
- Spread: Chargers -1.5 (-125)
- Moneyline: Colts -105/Chargers -130
- Over/Under: 48.5 (-120)
- Time: Sunday, October 19, at 4:05 p.m. ET
The Indianapolis Colts have already gone into Sofi Stadium once and played well this season, losing to the Rams in a game they should’ve won if not for repeated errors from wide receiver AD Mitchell. Now, they head back to Hollywood to face a Bolts team that has suddenly found themselves concerningly inconsistent in recent weeks.
For all of Los Angeles’ inconsistency, Daniel Jones and the Colts have been perfectly consistent—and genuinely good. Led by a tremendous Jonathan Taylor season, Indy has proven to be one of the league’s steadier teams, and it is headed into familiar territory with a repeated trip to the West Coast.
With the 5-1 Colts getting points on the road here, I’m happy to take them to cover against Justin Herbert’s Chargers.
Pick: Colts +1.5 (-115)
